WHY AMWRRI?

Too many decisions are made without the knowledge of the women they affect.

Arab and Muslim women and their communities remain underrepresented in research, archives, public narratives, and institutional decision-making. When their experiences are missing, institutions risk overlooking their needs, priorities, and contributions.

AMWRRI EXISTS TO HELP CHANGE THAT

We conduct research with communities, not simply about them. Community members help shape priorities, questions, interpretations, and the representation and preservation of their experiences.

COMMUNITY-
ENGAGED RESEARCH

KNOWLEDGE MOBILIZATION
& PUBLIC LEARNING

CONVENING &
COLLABORATIVE ACTION

RESOURCE CONNECTION
& COMMUNITY SUPPORT

through educational resources, oral histories, exhibitions, convenings, partnerships, and other tools that help communities and institutions learn, respond, and act.

We then make that knowledge visible, accessible, and actionable

A gift to AMWRRI helps document histories that might otherwise go unrecorded, produce research grounded in lived experience, and ensure that community knowledge reaches the places where narratives, resources, and decisions are shaped.

You help Arab and Muslim women play a stronger role in shaping tomorrow's institutions and decisions.

Help build the knowledge our future should be based on.
